The Mercedes continues to expand its portfolio of new models for sale in Portugal and has now announced the prices of the new AMG GLE 53 e4Matic+, which is available in both SUV and SUV coupe body types.
Equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which has undergone extensive modifications and now delivers 449 horsepower, 14 horsepower more than the previous version.
The updates include reprogrammed software and an additional cooling exchanger. It was possible to omit the additional electric compressor in the hybrid model as the electric motor takes on the task of supplementing the vehicle’s traction force. As a result, the 3.0-liter engine responds promptly and provides particularly dynamic response.
The inline-six engine is combined with a 100 kW electric motor, a traction battery with a capacity of 31.2 kWh, and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system.
The German SUV features an AMG braking system with 400 mm front discs with six-piston calipers and 370 mm rear discs with single-piston calipers. The configurable AMG Performance exhaust system is also available.
Aesthetically, the exterior design has few changes, and the sporty character of this SUV is reinforced by specific AMG badges, specific 21” wheels, and the standard panoramic roof.
Inside, highlights include heated front seats and the MBUX infotainment system, which has been modified to reflect the new hybrid configuration.
Mercedes has revealed that the new AMG GLE 53 e4Matic+ is available in the national market with an indicative price starting at €138,250 for the SUV variant, while the SUV coupe version starts at €145,150.
