Mercedes F1 Team Faces Investigation Over Controversial Pitlane Incident in Bahrain Grand Prix
In a shocking turn of events at the Bahrain Grand Prix, the Mercedes F1 team, along with drivers George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, has been summoned by the race stewards for a contentious incident during Q2 qualifying.
The chaos unfolded when Esteban Ocon’s crash led to a temporary halt in the qualifying session, prompting uncertainty around the restart time. Despite the lack of an official declaration, Mercedes took matters into their own hands, sending both drivers into the fast lane of the pitlane prematurely.
