Both Mercedes and Aston Martin have been linked as possible landing spots for Verstappen, although Wolff has expressed contentment with his current driver lineup. “We will resume discussions when we are in the European leg, there is no rush,” Wolff told The Athletic. “He is performing at the highest level, as we expected and hoped. He is delivering results, there is no doubt about that. We have this summer window. We have no reason to challenge or question anything as it stands now.”
Mercedes also has rising star Kimi Antonelli in their ranks, who has been turning heads in his debut season and exceeding expectations. While Wolff may face a tough decision if Verstappen becomes available, he reiterated his confidence in Russell and Antonelli, hinting that immediate changes are not on the horizon unless Verstappen’s situation drastically changes.
