On February 29, a Google Drive folder containing alleged WhatsApp conversations between F1 team managers, the FIA, the media, and Formula 1 was shared with hundreds of journalists through a link. Toto Wolff, the manager of the Mercedes team, criticized the way Red Bull handled the matter and expressed confidence in Mercedes’ ability to conduct a transparent investigation.

The disclosure of personal messages sent by Christian Horner to a female employee, reportedly calling into question his marriage to Geri Halliwell.
