Mercedes-Benz was the premium automotive brand with the most units sold in Portugal in 2023, for the ninth consecutive year, with a total of 14,810 registered units (passenger cars), +22.6% compared to the same period in 2022, and ranking third in the national total market.

According to ACAP data, December was the second best month ever for the German brand in Portugal, ranking second nationwide and first in the premium segment, selling a total of 1,593 units, representing a growth of 50.4% compared to the same period in 2022.

In 2023, over 56% of Mercedes-Benz sales were electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, with a total of 8,324 registered units, +63% compared to the previous year, and over 16% were fully electric vehicles, with a total of 2,408 registered units, a growth of 65% compared to 2022.
