Mercedes has announced that the new AMG E 53 Hybrid 4Matic+ is now available for order in the national market, with a starting price of €116,300 for the Limousine version and €118,900 for the Station variant.
Both the Limousine and Station versions come standard with the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G gearbox, rear axle steering, and AMG Ride Control suspension with adjustable adaptive damping.
Metallic paints are standard and available in the colors: Obsidian black, High-tech grey, Green grey, Graphite grey, Velvet brown, and Nautic blue. Solid paints in black and Polar white are also available as an optional at no cost.
The interior is equipped with black porous ash wood finishes, backlit, specific to the E 53 Hybrid model, with the AMG badge. The MBUX multimedia system offers specific graphics and functionalities, as well as exclusive AMG menu content. The sports seats, with electric adjustment, are standard and are upholstered in Artico synthetic leather and Microcut microfiber, with contrasting red stitching and a specific pattern.
The AMG Performance steering wheel, covered in Nappa leather and with tactile AMG control buttons, is also part of the standard equipment.
The heart of this sportier version is a turbocharged inline-six 3.0-liter gasoline engine with 449 hp and 550 Nm of maximum torque, combined with an electric unit installed in the nine-speed gearbox that adds another 163 hp and 480 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined power of 585 hp. However, by activating the Race Start (launch control), the combined power increases to 612 hp for a brief period, with 750 Nm of maximum torque.
During the first year after the market launch of the new E 53 Hybrid 4Matic+, it can be ordered in the form of an exclusive ‘AMG Edition 1’ special edition.
This launch version is available with a selection of paint finishes such as Alpine grey solid Manufaktur paint or optional Opalite magno white paint. The sides of the model feature decals with decorative black stripes. The 21″ AMG cross-spoke forged wheels are painted in matte black and highlighted with bright rims. The wheel hub caps feature an “Edition” emblem in a laurel wreath. The black-painted brake calipers with white AMG logo also complement the distinctive look of the edition.
