The latest F1 race has left fans and rivals alike questioning McLaren’s tactics after a heated battle between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris at the Hungarian Grand Prix. George Russell, fresh off his sixth podium finish in 2025, couldn’t help but stir the pot by suggesting a daring move that could have ended in a dramatic crash between the McLaren teammates.

The tension was palpable as Piastri tried to regain the lead from Norris, who had strategically overtaken him on a one-stop strategy. In a nail-biting moment, Piastri backed off from an aggressive overtake to avoid a collision with his teammate, much to the relief of McLaren team bosses Zak Brown and Andrea Stella.

Despite the close call, Norris and Piastri have managed to keep the peace for the most part throughout the season, with only one incident marring their otherwise respectful rivalry. The McLaren duo’s ability to race each other hard but clean has led to some thrilling battles on the track, much to the delight of fans and team management.

With McLaren dominating the constructors’ championship and Piastri widening the gap to his closest rival Max Verstappen, the team’s decision to let their drivers compete freely has certainly paid off. The intense competition within the team has resulted in seven one-two finishes so far in 2025, showcasing McLaren’s strength and unity on the track.

As the season unfolds and tensions run high, one thing is for sure – the battle between Norris and Piastri is far from over. Stay tuned for more exhilarating F1 action and unexpected twists as the championship race heats up.
