McLaren revela novas melhorias na Áustria enquanto a Red Bull intensifica perseguição na Fórmula 1.

McLaren introduced a series of updates for this weekend’s Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix in their quest to catch up with Red Bull. The Woking team has become Red Bull’s main rival since the changes implemented in Miami, which led to Lando Norris securing his first victory. While Ferrari and Mercedes have also made modifications to their cars, McLaren remains the biggest threat to Max Verstappen’s RB20. To further improve their performance, McLaren has revealed two modified components in the official FIA updates list for the race in Austria. This includes a new front wing with a different shape and an upgraded front suspension to improve airflow in the MCL38.

Meanwhile, Mercedes introduced a modified rear wing in their enhanced W15 charger, aiming to reduce drag by decreasing downforce. Ferrari, on the other hand, will be seeking to maximize the potential of their new package that was not fully utilized in Barcelona. They have added additional cooling openings to the SF-24 at the Red Bull Ring. Red Bull is also looking to understand the impact of their recent updates and will use split specifications during the first practice session. Additionally, Daniel Ricciardo revealed that the Faenza team will bring more parts for this race, including changes to the winglets on the rear drum.

Aston Martin, Haas, Red Bull, Sauber, and Williams have not announced any new additions for this weekend’s race. This is partly due to the limited practice time, with only one hour available due to the Sprint format being used.
