In scorching temperatures at the Sakhir circuit, the teams faced a challenging final practice session before the Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying. Despite lower grip levels compared to the previous session, the drivers pushed for fast laps, with McLaren once again standing out. Oscar Piastri set the pace, outperforming his teammate Lando Norris. Charles Leclerc followed in third, trailing by 0.834 seconds.

The track temperature soared to 43.4°C as the session began, presenting a tough environment for the drivers. The session kicked off calmly, with only a few drivers initially taking to the track on hard tires. As the session progressed, more cars joined with a focus on quick laps using the soft tires.

Piastri shone as he clocked the fastest time, with Verstappen closing in but ultimately settling for second. As the session neared its end, Piastri delivered a stunning lap, securing the top spot with a time of 1:31.646. Norris and Leclerc completed the top three, showcasing McLaren’s dominance.

The McLaren team’s exceptional tire management skills have proven to be crucial in the challenging track conditions. While McLaren continues to impress, Ferrari and Red Bull struggled to match their pace, hinting at a fierce qualifying battle ahead. Mercedes showed promise, aiming to bridge the gap to the leading papaya cars.

Despite a subdued performance in the practice session, Yuki Tsunoda focused on race pace rather than setting quick laps. With qualifying on the horizon, fans can expect a more intense and competitive showdown as teams vie for the pole position.
