Mazda continues to strengthen its electrification strategy, and after the launch of the 6e sedan, it’s now time for the new 100% electric SUV, EZ-60, which will be known as CX-6e in Europe.

Like the 6e, the new electric SUV was developed in collaboration with the Chinese company Changan, and thus shares the main specifications with the Deepal S07, Mazda’s Chinese partner.
The images of the new electric SUV from the Japanese brand, which is expected to hit the European market by the end of the year, were revealed this Thursday. Although technical details have not been announced, it is likely that the new CX-6e will utilize the same 80 kWh battery and a rear motor with 214 hp as the S07, providing a range of up to 473 km.

In terms of design, the new SUV follows the design language of the e6 sedan, known as Kodom, featuring an illuminated Mazda logo, split headlights, and LED daytime running lights. Other highlights of the CX-6e include retractable door handles and cameras in place of conventional exterior side mirrors.
The interior of the new Mazda electric SUV has not been revealed, which is expected to happen at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month, but it will likely be inspired by the 6e, featuring a generous infotainment system screen and few physical controls.
