Mazda has launched the EZ-6 Sports Edition in China through its joint venture with Changan. The new model was developed in collaboration with Mazda teams in Japan, China, and Europe, and features a distinctive style along with two electrified powertrain options.
This new EZ-6 Sports Edition measures 4.92 meters in length, 1.89 m in width, and 1.48 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.89 m.

In terms of aesthetics, this EZ-6 features a front section marked by a grille similar to the rest of the Japanese brand’s lineup, split headlights, with the main lights positioned below the daytime running lights. The light signature, known as “Wings of Light,” includes an illuminated Mazda emblem as an option. This Sports Edition stands out from other versions with its black body details and red brake calipers.
Inside, the changes compared to the “normal” version of the EZ6 are minimal, with highlights including black Alcantara finishes and contrasting red and black stitching.

Note also a 14.6’’ infotainment system screen, a 50’’ augmented reality head-up display that utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Additionally, the Mazda EZ-6 Sports Edition is equipped with a Sony audio system featuring 14 speakers. Mazda has also revealed that the cabin includes ambient lighting with 64 colors and that the EZ-6 is equipped with nine airbags, including a side airbag.
The new Sports Edition is available in China with two configurations. The extended range version uses a 1.5-liter engine that combines with a rear electric motor producing 215 hp. It offers a total range of 1,301 km in the Chinese CLTC cycle. The fully electric variant features a motor with 255 hp and offers a range of 480 km or 600 km, depending on the battery size, which can be either 58.9 or 66.8 kWh, and can be charged from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes with fast charging under suitable conditions.
