Maximize Your Pennzoil 400 Experience: Ultimate NASCAR Fan Guide to Tailgating, Camping, and Policies at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Pennzoil 400 race is set to roar into Las Vegas Motor Speedway come March 16, 2025. With Cali Tucker from The Voice belting out the anthem, Morgan Freeman’s iconic voice commanding drivers to start their engines, and WWE’s Chelsea Green acting as Grand Marshal, it’s sure to be a thrilling spectacle. Whether you’re a NASCAR veteran or a rookie, you’ll need to know the ins and outs of making the most of this adrenaline-filled weekend. Here’s your ultimate guide:

Tailgating at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Tailgating is a time-honored tradition at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS), but it’s not without its rules. You can’t just pop up your grill anywhere; designated spots, such as the coveted Stockyard area behind Turns 3 and 4, must be booked in advance. Also, keep in mind that outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. But don’t worry, you can bring one non-alcoholic drink per person, up to 64 ounces, in a non-glass container. Once inside, there are plenty of concession stands ready to quench your thirst with a variety of beverages.

Camping at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
If you’re looking for the full NASCAR experience, camping at the LVMS is the way to go. With options ranging from RV hookups to tent sites, there’s something for every type of camper. You can stay for up to five days, with amenities like portable restrooms, event shuttles, and round-the-clock security included in the package. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so book yours ASAP. Embrace the Pennzoil 400 lifestyle, waking up to the intoxicating scent of race gas and rubber.

LVMS Cooler Policy
Unfortunately, coolers are not allowed in the grandstands. You can bring one food item per person – a sandwich, a bag of chips, or an apple. For anything more substantial, rely on the variety of food options available from concession stands and independent vendors. This strict policy ensures a secure environment, so it’s best not to push your luck.

Parking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
The good news? Parking at the LVMS is free, with plenty of spots surrounding the speedway. However, with the Pennzoil 400 weekend featuring the Cup Series, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series, it’s advisable to reserve your spot early to avoid traffic snarls. For those requiring handicapped parking, call 800-644-4444 for tram or shuttle assistance.

Items Not Allowed at the LVMS
The prohibited items list is extensive. Aerosols are limited to sunscreen, sanitizer, or bug spray. Flying objects like frisbees, balloons, and footballs are barred, as are vehicles such as golf carts, scooters, hoverboards, and dirt bikes. Oversized stadium seats and umbrellas are also not allowed. Bags must adhere to size restrictions of 18x18x14 inches. It’s best to follow these rules closely as security checks will be thorough.

Pennzoil 400 Weekend Itinerary
The action-packed weekend kicks off on Friday with the Truck Series practice, qualifying, and the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200. Saturday sees the Xfinity practice, qualifying, and a 300-mile race. The Cup Series practice and qualifying also take place on Saturday, with the Pennzoil 400 main event happening on Sunday. Dirt fans can relish the Outlaws Sprint Cars races on Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be downloaded digitally via the LVMS app.

Additional Information
In case of emergencies, contact security at 702-632-8029 or the Fan Assistance Line at 702-632-8006. Provide your seat number to the Medical team patrol if needed. If you can’t make it to the event, you can catch all the action on FOX, FS1, or YouTube TV.

So there you have it, your ultimate guide to the Pennzoil 400. Pack light, arrive early, and immerse yourself in the high-octane fusion of Vegas and NASCAR. See you at the race!
