Max Verstappen’s manager blasts Christian Horner: Red Bull team embraces new era of unity

Title: Max Verstappen’s Manager Takes a Bold Stand: “No More Politics at Red Bull!”

In a striking revelation, Raymond Vermeulen, the long-time manager of Formula One superstar Max Verstappen, has issued a clarion call for a new era at Red Bull Racing, dropping a bombshell about the internal dynamics of the team. With tensions simmering beneath the surface, Vermeulen’s remarks seem to be a thinly veiled jab at former team principal Christian Horner, suggesting that political maneuvering has been cast aside in favor of a more unified and focused approach.

As the tension escalates in the lead-up to the Abu Dhabi finale, Verstappen is firmly back in the championship chase, thanks in part to a dramatic turn of events during the Qatar Grand Prix. The race was thrown into chaos by an unexpected Safety Car that left McLaren’s strategists scrambling, much to the delight of Verstappen and his crew. The blunders of McLaren’s Andrea Stella put Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris on the back foot, igniting a thrilling three-way battle for the title.

Vermeulen, speaking to RacingNews365, highlighted the transformed atmosphere within the Red Bull garage since Horner’s departure. “Now, there’s a more stable environment within the team,” he declared, emphasizing that the toxic political games have been eradicated. “We knew we had to give it our all to get back in the hunt, so everyone was realistic about the task ahead and put in their best effort to take the next step.”

The manager pointed out that Laurent Mekies has been instrumental in this revival, driving the team forward with fresh energy and vision. “He has been the key factor in motivating everyone, and now we have a fantastic car,” Vermeulen said, although he humorously noted that it doesn’t always behave perfectly on the track, sometimes acting “a bit like a diva.” Despite its quirks, the performance in Qatar was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the potential of Red Bull’s latest innovations.

However, the road ahead remains fraught with challenges, as Vermeulen acknowledged that there have been races where the car’s performance fell short. “The operating window is quite small,” he cautioned, hinting at the fine margins that could define the outcome of the championship.

With the pressure mounting and the stakes higher than ever, Verstappen and his team are poised to capitalize on their newfound unity and determination. As the countdown to the Abu Dhabi showdown begins, fans around the world are left to wonder: can Red Bull maintain this momentum and secure yet another title, free from the shadows of past political games? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear—the landscape at Red Bull Racing has irrevocably changed, and it’s about to get even more exciting!
