Max Verstappen, the four-time World Champion, has recently welcomed his first child, Lily, with his partner Kelly Piquet. The arrival of baby Lily seems to have brought good luck to Verstappen, as he received a boost in the form of an upgraded Red Bull RB21 floor for the Miami Grand Prix. This upgrade, exclusive to Verstappen’s car, aims to address balance issues and enhance performance on the track, giving him an edge over his competitors.

Despite a somewhat challenging start to the F1 2025 season with only one win in five races, Verstappen’s spirits are high as he navigates the responsibilities of fatherhood alongside his racing career. The Dutch driver expressed his joy at spending time with his newborn daughter and partner, highlighting the special moments they have shared together.

The Miami Grand Prix has not only been significant for Verstappen on a personal level but also for the future of the event itself. A 10-year extension has been announced, securing the race on the calendar until 2041. Additionally, there is speculation about Lily potentially following in her father’s footsteps and becoming a Red Bull driver in the future, given the racing pedigree of the Verstappen and Piquet family names.

Team principal Christian Horner shared his excitement about the new addition to the Verstappen family, emphasizing the unique genes that Lily possesses from her racing lineage. As Verstappen embraces fatherhood, the dynamics of his life are sure to evolve, with Horner joking about the valuable genes Lily has inherited, likening her to a prized racehorse.

With Verstappen’s determination on the track and newfound joy in his personal life, the upcoming races promise to be thrilling as fans eagerly watch the champion navigate his way through the challenges of both fatherhood and Formula 1.
