Max Verstappen fala sobre igualar recorde de Ayrton Senna para a maioria das pole positions consecutivas no GP da Emilia Romagna.

Max Verstappen reached the same number of consecutive pole positions as Ayrton Senna, equaling the record of 39 pole positions in his career. Verstappen showed an impressive recovery during the qualifying session, overcoming multiple challenges during practice. Currently at the peak of his career, the 26-year-old driver secured pole position at the Emilia Romagna GP, matching Senna’s record.

Verstappen expressed visible frustration due to the issues he faced with the RB20 on Friday. Consequently, the team made changes to the chassis before the qualifying session, resulting in improved performance. After equaling the record of eight consecutive pole positions, Verstappen paid tribute to the legendary Formula 1 driver who tragically passed away at the same circuit. The 26-year-old driver considered it a promising start to the year and a special achievement to match Senna’s record despite the challenges he faced.

After the challenging session, the current world champion expressed his satisfaction at securing pole position. Verstappen also appreciated the opportunity to remember Senna in some way and spoke highly of the late legendary driver. In the end, the 26-year-old driver considered it a great day for himself and the Red Bull team.

During the early sessions of the Emilia Romagna GP weekend, Verstappen faced frustration as he struggled to achieve impressive lap times. As he entered the pits during the qualifying session, a fan made a disrespectful gesture by showing him the middle finger. Observing this, Verstappen responded in a similar manner to the fan.

According to De Telegraaf, the 26-year-old driver promptly returned the gesture by showing the middle finger to the fan who started the issue. This incident highlights the determined nature of the current world champion, who does not tolerate unjustified disrespect.

Furthermore, Verstappen had a positive response to the fan after securing pole position. With this achievement, he is expected to have a smoother performance in the Emilia Romagna GP. The Dutch driver is ready to secure another dominant victory at the Italian circuit. Red Bull aims to maximize their results and contribute valuable points to the race.
