Max Verstappen Summonsed by FIA in Miami GP Drama!

In a shocking turn of events at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen, the Red Bull sensation, found himself in hot water as the FIA stewards summoned him following the Sprint Qualifying session. The Dutch driver, who secured the fourth spot on the grid for the Sprint Qualifying race, now faces uncertainty about his starting position for Saturday’s main race after allegedly breaching regulations set by the FIA.

Verstappen’s summoning came after a tumultuous Sprint Qualifying session where tensions ran high. The FIA cited a possible violation of Article 33.4 of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations and Article 12.2.1.i of the International Sporting Code. These regulations pertain to complying with the Race Director’s instructions, specifically regarding lap times during different sessions throughout the race weekend.

One of Verstappen’s competitors, Lance Stroll, voiced his frustration over the alleged incident, claiming that Verstappen’s slow driving hindered his own qualifying performance. Stroll emphasized the impact of such actions on lap times and urged for a thorough investigation into the matter.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the summoning, Verstappen provided insights into his performance on the Miami circuit. He expressed struggles with understeer and grip in low-speed corners, which affected his overall competitiveness. However, he acknowledged his fourth-place qualification while noting the challenges posed by the track’s characteristics.

Apart from Verstappen, several other drivers, including Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, George Russell, Liam Lawson, and Gabriel Bortoleto, were also flagged for similar offenses during Sprint Qualifying. The stewards, however, determined that these drivers did not impede others and took appropriate actions to rectify the situation, leading to no further actions being taken against them.

As the situation unfolds and tensions rise in Miami, all eyes are on Max Verstappen as he navigates through the aftermath of the FIA summoning. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as the drama continues to unfold on the F1 circuit.
