Max Verstappen Shocks F1 World by Ignoring Lewis Hamilton in Driver Ratings Reveal!

Max Verstappen Shocks the F1 World by Snubbing Lewis Hamilton in Driver Rankings!

In a jaw-dropping revelation that’s sending shockwaves through the motorsport community, Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 champion, has declared his top picks for the best drivers on the 2025 grid—only to completely exclude the legendary Lewis Hamilton from the conversation! This bold move comes as Verstappen names Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and the indomitable Fernando Alonso as the standout talents currently gracing the tracks.

Hamilton, a titan of the sport, who famously battled Verstappen in a nail-biting 2021 championship showdown, appears to have fallen off the radar for the Dutch star. That tumultuous season culminated in an infamous finale in Abu Dhabi, where Hamilton was controversially denied a record-breaking eighth title, paving the way for Verstappen to claim his first of what would become four consecutive championships. Since then, the Red Bull ace has been on a relentless winning spree, snatching victory in 46 out of the last 84 races, including a stunning win at the recent Italian Grand Prix. This triumph solidifies his position as a dominant force in the current ground-effect era that commenced in 2022.

In stark contrast, Hamilton, now 40, has struggled to find his footing. With just two race victories to his name since the start of 2024 and no podium finishes in 2025 as a new Ferrari driver, the seven-time champion seems to be grappling with a significant downturn in form. Could this be the end of an era for the man who once seemed invincible?

When pressed by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo for his thoughts on the current elite of Formula 1, Verstappen notably stripped Hamilton from the conversation, a decision that sparked heated debates among fans and pundits alike. Instead, he lauded Leclerc as the best qualifier and overtaker on the grid, while also showering praise on Alonso, the two-time World Champion, for his exceptional skills in race conditions and defensive driving. “I’ve always admired Fernando’s racing style,” Verstappen declared, emphasizing the Spaniard’s fighting spirit and intelligence. “Experience matters, and for that, I choose Alonso,” he added, acknowledging the 44-year-old’s brilliance and competitive mentality.

Verstappen’s controversial omission of Hamilton raises eyebrows, especially given the Briton’s iconic status within the sport. It’s a bold statement that hints at the shifting dynamics of Formula 1, as new stars rise while older legends face challenges. When asked about the most charismatic driver on the grid, Verstappen dismissed the notion, stating, “It doesn’t matter. Not for driving an F1 car,” further illustrating his focus on performance over personality.

As for the title of the greatest driver in F1 history, Verstappen took a diplomatic stance, stating, “There are so many great drivers from different eras. It’s impossible to pick just one.” He urges fans to appreciate the wealth of talent that has graced the sport.

With Hamilton’s legacy now juxtaposed against a new generation of drivers, the question arises: Is this the dawn of a new era in F1, one where Verstappen and his contemporaries could redefine greatness, leaving the likes of Hamilton in their dust? Only time will tell, but for now, the spotlight is firmly on the young guns of Formula 1, as they race into a future that remains as thrilling and unpredictable as ever.
