Sebastian Vettel’s Shocking Revelation to Max Verstappen in 2023

In a jaw-dropping turn of events, Formula 1 legend Sebastian Vettel recently disclosed a candid conversation he had with Max Verstappen back in 2023. The discussion took place as Verstappen was on the verge of surpassing one of Vettel’s longstanding records – the most consecutive wins in Grand Prix races. Verstappen went on to clinch ten consecutive victories in 2023, overshadowing Vettel’s previous record of nine wins in 2013.

In a light-hearted manner, Vettel remarked to Verstappen, “You’re better than me,” to which Verstappen humbly responded before breaking the record. Vettel shared, “I was in contact with him when he was about to break the record for the most consecutive wins, and I was at nine. Then he equaled it, and I told him, ‘You’re better than me, I’m sure you’ll beat me.’ He said, ‘I’m not sure, I’m not sure,’ and then he made it ten! So, I’m almost certain he can [achieve a fifth title for Red Bull].”

Both drivers experienced their most successful streaks with Red Bull – Vettel from 2010 to 2013 and Verstappen from 2021 to 2024. Currently boasting 64 victories, Verstappen surpasses Vettel’s 53 wins and sets his sights on a fifth consecutive title in 2025. Despite facing stiff competition this season, particularly from McLaren, Vettel expressed unwavering confidence in Verstappen’s ability to rewrite history once again.

“If anyone can do it, he can also do it with the championships at Red Bull,” Vettel affirmed, offering Verstappen his vote of confidence.

The F1 world is abuzz with anticipation as Verstappen aims to solidify his dominance on the track and etch his name in the annals of racing history. With Vettel’s endorsement and fans on the edge of their seats, all eyes are on Verstappen as he gears up for another potentially record-breaking season.

This revelation from Vettel sheds light on the camaraderie and respect shared among F1’s elite drivers, showcasing a blend of sportsmanship and fierce competition that keeps fans captivated race after race. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track, and Verstappen continues his quest for greatness in the fast-paced world of Formula 1.
