Max Verstappen Shuts Down Shock Rumors: No Chance of Racing Bulls Test Drive!

In a stunning revelation that has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 community, Max Verstappen has firmly dismissed the swirling rumors about a possible test drive with Red Bull’s sister team, Racing Bulls. Despite the escalating speculation regarding his potential switch to the more competitive VCARB 02, Verstappen remains steadfast in his commitment to Red Bull, asserting that he has no plans to step into the sister team’s cockpit for an FP1 session or any test outings.

As the 2025 season progresses, Red Bull has faced significant challenges with the notoriously tricky RB21 car, while Racing Bulls has emerged as a formidable contender, consistently placing drivers Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar in the Q3 battle. Hadjar even clinched a remarkable podium finish with a third place at the Dutch Grand Prix, igniting discussions about Verstappen’s ability to achieve better results with the more compliant machinery of Racing Bulls.

However, when pressed by reporters about the possibility of switching teams, Verstappen’s response was unequivocal. “No, not really no,” he stated bluntly, as media representatives from various outlets, including RacingNews365, sought clarification on the matter. “I just need to focus on my own driving and try to understand where we can do better,” he added, emphasizing his determination to improve Red Bull’s performance.

The current state of affairs has left Verstappen feeling that even with the sister team’s success, the RB21 struggles to compete with rival McLaren. “We are not going to win the race with it; it is not enough to beat McLaren at the moment, so for me, it is not on my mind, no,” he candidly expressed, signaling that his focus remains solely on his own team.

Adding fuel to the fire, Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane also weighed in on the rumors, categorically rejecting the idea of Verstappen donning the Racing Bulls colors for any upcoming events. This double denial from both Verstappen and Permane casts a long shadow over the speculation, leaving fans and pundits alike to ponder the future of Red Bull Racing in a fiercely competitive season.

As the anticipation builds for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix, the question remains: Can Verstappen turn the tide for Red Bull, or will the struggles continue? Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates from the world of Formula 1!
