Investigation by Christian Horner causes division in Red Bull Racing
Christian Horner’s ongoing investigation has reportedly caused a division within Red Bull Racing. The team’s strong performance on the track has been overshadowed by the scandal off it involving their principal. Jos Verstappen, father of driver Max Verstappen, has once again addressed the situation, emphasizing the need for internal peace amid the ongoing saga. He also expressed his belief that the issues will persist for some time, hindering the team’s progress. Previously, Verstappen Sr. had discussed the tense relationship between the two parties.
Verstappen Sr. was also questioned about a possible power struggle within the team. He acknowledged the existence of this struggle but did not reveal the people involved. He reiterated his desire for peace to be restored within the team and for the focus to return to racing. Despite the off-track problems, Red Bull Racing has been performing well in the 2024 season. Verstappen Sr.’s main priority is to see his son succeed in Formula 1, regardless of the team’s issues.
He also noted that there is no animosity between the engineers and Max, as the car is performing excellently. However, Max is often questioned about updates related to Horner, which he does not like. Verstappen Sr. believes this is part of the other side of Formula 1. Despite the challenges, the team remains determined to excel in the 2024 season. They have already achieved positive results in the early races and only time will tell how they will handle the ongoing issues with their principal. At the moment, Red Bull Racing is expected to dominate the entire season.
