Red Bull’s Stern Warning to Max Verstappen: Shape Up or Face F1 Ban!

The pressure is on for Max Verstappen as Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko issues a strict warning for the F1 driver to steer clear of any “rash” behavior to avoid a potential race ban. Verstappen currently sits on the edge with 11 penalty points on his superlicence, just one point away from being sidelined for a race, following his recent clash with George Russell at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Initially defiant about the incident, Verstappen later backtracked on his stance, admitting that the collision “should not have happened.” This is not the first time the Dutchman has found himself in hot water, as he began accumulating penalty points after a late-race collision with Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix last year.

Despite being a key figure in the Red Bull team, Marko stresses that even Verstappen is not exempt from being reprimanded if needed. In a column for Speedweek, Marko emphasized the importance of the upcoming races for Verstappen, urging him to exercise caution on the track. “Now he mustn’t do anything wrong over the next two race weekends, and of course he will be told not to do anything rash,” Marko stated.

With the next race in Spielberg just around the corner, the stakes are high for Verstappen. The team is hopeful that he will avoid any further incidents to prevent a potential disaster of missing a race due to accumulated penalty points. Despite the warning, Marko expressed confidence that Verstappen typically does not err in every race and reminded that the penalty points will start to decrease after the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix.

The tension is palpable as Red Bull lays down the law for their star driver. Will Verstappen heed the warning and navigate the next races without incident, or will his aggressive driving style land him in hot water once again? The F1 world holds its breath as the drama unfolds on the track.
