The Dutch driver continues to achieve remarkable milestones in his career outside of Formula 1. At 26 years old, he has been once again nominated for the Laureus Sportsman of the Year award in 2024 for his exceptional achievements in motorsport. Verstappen’s performance in the 2023 Formula 1 season was one of the most dominant in history, breaking numerous records.

Verstappen had previously been nominated for the same award in the past two years. The Formula 1 prodigy won the Laureus Award in 2022 and has now been nominated again. He joins a prestigious list of previous winners, including , , and the legendary . Being nominated and potentially winning this award is a significant achievement for any Formula 1 driver.

In 2023, Verstappen was also nominated for the Laureus Award, but lost to the Football Legend . The exceptional performance of the Inter Miami star in football earned him a nomination for the 2024 edition of the award. Verstappen’s dominant season in 2023 secured him a well-deserved spot as a nominee for the upcoming awards. The Laureus Award is considered the equivalent of the ‘Grammy’ for sports events, making it a highly prestigious recognition for the driver.

Verstappen’s impressive performance in 2023 was largely due to the exceptional car built by Red Bull. The Milton Keynes team was so dominant that they won 21 out of the 22 races that season, narrowly missing a perfect season. Therefore, it was no surprise to see Verstappen nominated for the Laureus Award alongside the current world champion.

The winners of the Laureus Award will be announced on April 22nd in Madrid, Spain. Verstappen will have to overcome competitors such as , Lionel Messi, , and other exceptional athletes to win the award once again. Additionally, Red Bull will face off against the European golf team, the German basketball team, , and other exceptional teams in their respective sports.

Verstappen’s strong performance in sports continues as he led the testing session in Bahrain. The reigning world champion demonstrated great speed during the tests and is expected to replicate his exceptional performances in 2023. Red Bull has once again managed to create a competitive car capable of challenging for the world championship at the pinnacle of motorsport.
