Max Verstappen emerged as the winner in the Canadian Grand Prix, despite strong competition from Lando Norris and George Russell.

Red Bull seemed to have faced difficulties throughout the race as well. The team had slim chances of securing the win with Verstappen not starting from pole position. The Dutch driver also faced challenges navigating the wet and dry track in Montreal. However, the reigning world champion skillfully dealt with the issues, and some fortunate incidents propelled him to victory.

The race was full of action due to the constantly changing weather conditions. Red Bull maintained a consistent effort to secure the win. Verstappen made no mistakes and achieved a comfortable victory. The 26-year-old driver stated that the entire race was chaotic, with many things happening simultaneously. Additionally, the race winner acknowledged that the safety car played into the hands of the Austrian team.

Despite Red Bull’s recent struggles, the team did not give up on the race. They ensured the best possible opportunities for Verstappen. However, his teammate’s weekend turned into a nightmare as he retired from the race. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old driver mentioned that races like these were necessary from time to time due to the excitement and fun they bring.

Max Verstappen: It was an incredibly eventful race, with many things happening, and we had to make the right decisions. The safety car worked well for us, and we managed our gaps effectively. Races like these are necessary every now and then. It was a lot of fun out there.

Red Bull faced several issues with their car after a good start to the season. The RB20 showed significant errors in the simulator data, which engineers reportedly overlooked in the past two years. Verstappen also struggled with grip and balance issues with the chassis, especially on the wet track in Montreal. The suspension problem was also evident during the Canadian GP.

However, after securing an impressive victory, the 26-year-old driver stated that the suspension problem in the chassis was no longer a concern. Red Bull will continue to work on the car to ensure that the issues are less problematic. Additionally, Verstappen emphasized the need for the team to promptly resolve the suspension problems.

Red Bull’s triumph in the Canadian GP, despite the challenges faced, demonstrates the team’s resilient spirit. The Austrian constructor will strive to maintain their strong performance throughout the 2024 season and establish an advantage over their rivals. Red Bull further extended their lead over Ferrari after both team drivers failed to finish the race.
