Max Verstappen nega culpa por colisão com Lando Norris no Grande Prêmio da Áustria, classifica como evento “lamentável”.

Max Verstappen refuses to take the blame for his collision with Lando Norris.

During lap 64 of the race, Verstappen and Norris were involved in a fierce battle. Norris attempted to overtake Verstappen on the inside, resulting in a collision between the two drivers. However, Verstappen denied responsibility for Norris’ retirement from the race.

Verstappen commented on the incident with Norris, describing it as an unfortunate event. He emphasized the need for a thorough analysis of the footage to objectively assess what happened. Verstappen highlighted that the collision occurred at a tricky angle, causing punctures to both drivers’ tires. He suggested watching the video to determine the exact cause before making any decisions.

Verstappen acknowledged that his team made several mistakes that contributed to the situation. He expressed the intention to learn from these mistakes and improve for future races. Verstappen wanted to understand exactly what went wrong and how they could avoid similar incidents in the future.

In a post-race interview, Verstappen revealed that he would address the collision with Norris at a later time. He believed that discussing it immediately would not be appropriate, as both drivers could still be caught up in the heat of the moment. Verstappen emphasized the importance of waiting until emotions had calmed down for a more objective discussion.

Verstappen was particularly frustrated with the race result and his team’s errors. He emphasized that these mistakes were unusual and added to his disappointment. The Dutch driver experienced a great letdown in not being able to secure a victory at Red Bull’s home race in Austria, where most fans were supporting his team.

Furthermore, I am more annoyed with the performance and mistakes that we don’t normally make.

Certainly, Verstappen’s 5th place after starting on pole position left him disappointed. The fans were also disappointed with his performance in the main race, despite his impressive performances in qualifying and the sprint.
