Max Verstappen states that Red Bull will need some time to face the current challenges they are facing this season. Despite not having the fastest car, Verstappen emerged as the winner in the recent race. Red Bull had a good start to the season with their RB20, but now find themselves in a situation where other teams have also made improvements to their cars.

When asked about the progress of the RB20, Verstappen acknowledged that it will take time to resolve the issues with the car. However, he believes that if teams are heading in the right direction with their developments, improvements can happen quickly. Verstappen acknowledged that Red Bull made good progress initially, but now face a more difficult situation as other teams have also brought updates to their cars, making it harder for Red Bull to make significant advances.

Verstappen admitted that it is evident that other teams have progressed compared to Red Bull. The team is focused on improving the car’s ability to handle corners and bumps smoothly, as well as enhancing its overall balance. These aspects are crucial in reducing the gap and improving performance on the track. Verstappen emphasized that Red Bull recognizes these challenges and is committed to making improvements through their efforts.

Looking ahead to the next race in Austria, Verstappen is aiming for a better weekend with increased speed compared to the previous race. In Spain, Red Bull had a regular weekend, but Verstappen felt that they were initially too slow. However, they made adjustments throughout the weekend, leading to small improvements during qualifying. Verstappen highlighted that the team has worked tirelessly to constantly improve and they aim to build on this progress for the upcoming races.

Verstappen acknowledged that the previous races did not go well for Red Bull and they cannot afford to make more mistakes. He is optimistic about the upcoming race in Austria and expects a positive performance with increased speed. Verstappen and Red Bull are determined to have a clean and strong weekend, avoiding the problems they faced before.

Undoubtedly, Verstappen is eager to see improvements in his RB20 in Austria and wishes for a weekend similar to his performance in Barcelona, where they had higher speed. Fans are excited to see Verstappen back in action, remembering his good start to the season.
