Surpassed and emerged triumphant and secured his first victory in F1. The British driver secured a comfortable lead of over seven seconds ahead of Verstappen. The current world champion faced an incident during the race that may have resulted in chassis damage. Therefore, this may have been the reason why the Dutch driver couldn’t close the gap to Norris.

After the race, the damage to Verstappen’s car was revealed, which contributed to Norris’s first victory. Red Bull discovered a hole in the bottom of the chassis, possibly caused during the incident at Turn 16. Verstappen collided with a cone and dragged it onto the track, resulting in a safety car period. Additionally, the Dutch driver also struggled with the tires and the balance of the car throughout the race.

Verstappen mentioned that the chassis was unstable in the high-speed sections of the circuit. Despite finishing in second place, the Dutch driver believed it wasn’t the best weekend for Red Bull. The 26-year-old driver emphasized that everything needed to be perfect to secure a race victory. Max Verstappen will once again seek a dominant victory in the next stage of the season.

🚨 Red Bull discovered damage to Max’s car floor

Max: “When we took the car back to the garage, we also discovered that the floor was damaged and had a hole, possibly caused by the impact with the cone.” “We also had difficulties with the tires and the car balance throughout the…”

The Red Bull comfortably maintained a dominant lead in the 2023 season and faced no competition. However, in the 2024 season, several other teams have closed the gap in Milton Keynes. Verstappen was asked if McLaren showed their true speed at the Miami GP. Therefore, the 26-year-old driver acknowledged that the team had some work to do on their side.

However, the current world champion emphasized that the Austrian team did not have the best race pace this weekend. Milton Keynes will analyze the results and come back stronger from this adversity. Red Bull has not faced significant consistency issues since the start of the season. Therefore, the season will be exciting for the current world champions.

The dominant RB20 from Red Bull has delivered impressive race wins so far. The 2024 season is highly exciting as several teams have closed the gap to the front runners. McLaren and Ferrari have closely followed the pace of Red Bull and could potentially challenge for the constructors’ championship.
