After presenting the MCPura at the Goodwood Festival, Maserati has now revealed that it will be present at the Turin Motor Show, taking place from September 26 to 28, with the coupe and cabrio versions of the new supercar.
The new MCPura is based on the MC20, and it is easily noticeable that it is an elegant update of the model launched in 2020, which marked a new era for Maserati.
With a more refined image than the model it is based on, the MCPura features an exterior design marked by a new front section with a renewed grille, inspired by the track model MCXtrema. Furthermore, at the rear, the new supercar from the Trident brand presents a cleaner diffuser design, in tune with the understated style of the model.
Also noteworthy is the new design of the double-spoke wheels that harkens back to the wheels used by the Maserati A6 GCS from 1953, and the new body color options, including Aqua Rainbow, a three-layer bluish-green that changes tone according to the light.
On the inside, Maserati has equipped the MCPura with new materials and finishes, highlighting the seats, laser-engraved in Alcantara Ice, which enhances the Trident with a completely new graphic design. The resulting image is both futuristic and sporty, with a two-sided background – an iridescent red with blue, accentuating the shapes and reproducing the same tones as the exterior details. The “laser” treatment is used to convey three-dimensionality, creating a combination of the sporty elegance of Alcantara.
It is already known that the heart of this new MCPura has not undergone changes and is therefore equipped with the same 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno with two turbochargers and dry sump lubrication, debuted in the MC20, which delivers 630 hp at 7500 rpm, 730 Nm from 3000 rpm.
At the Turin Motor Show, Maserati will showcase the new super sports car with an exclusive Ai Acqua Rainbow finish, designed by Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program: matte on the coupe, glossy on the MCPura convertible.
