Two years after revealing its interpretation of the Maserati MC20, Novitec now presents the muscular version of the brand’s sports convertible, which comes with 701 hp.
The German tuner has accustomed its fans to more radical interpretations of supercars, and this time it decided to enhance the MC20 Cielo. To do so, it tuned the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine to deliver 701 hp and 818 Nm of maximum torque, which is 80 hp and 88 Nm more than the original unit.
For this increase in power to be possible, the engineers at Novitec improved the engine control electronics with an N-Tronic module and equipped the Maserati convertible with a high-performance exhaust system.
According to Novitec, the power increase now allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the stock model. Additionally, the top speed has increased by 5 km/h to 325 km/h.
The work of the German tuner was not limited to the powerful engine, as aesthetically the tuner added a set of carbon fiber aerodynamic details, including air intakes and openings on the hood, a ducktail spoiler at the rear, and a generous diffuser.
In addition, another highlight is the set of 21” NF11 forged wheels, produced in collaboration with Vossen, with a gold finish that matches the gray color of the bodywork. The wheel rims can also be customized with a wide range of colors, according to the owner’s preference.
As always, the German tuner did not reveal the price of this more radical version of the MC20 Cielo, noting that the list of options is extensive and that everything from the body color to the interior finishes can be customized.
