Maserati made its debut at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, the prestigious French event that has brought together the best of the automotive world and haute couture since 2014, set in the elegant and historic surroundings of the Domaine du Château de Chantilly (Oise).
The star of the Trident brand was the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, the first 100% electric luxury convertible, born from the bespoke craftsmanship of the Maserati Fuoriserie personalization program, inspired by the history and powerful character of the renowned Italian wines produced by Marchesi Antinori, one of the oldest and most illustrious winemaking families in Italy.
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello was revealed to the public for the first time in Chantilly, following its presentation in July at the Napa Valley Festival, California.
Designed and built in collaboration with Marchesi Antinori, the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello reflects the most advanced craftsmanship, luxury, and elegance that have long distinguished the models of the Trident brand.
The exterior of this unique GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello features a brown color inspired by the vineyard soil, warmed by a coppery shade of red wine, evoking the central red tones of the characteristic barrels of Tignanello.
Inside, the seats feature upholstery made from leather decorated with a weave of various materials, with silver ribs and a deep red color, crafted from Vegea, an innovative expandable fabric derived from grapevines. The fabric conveys the visual and tactile sensation of leather and is being used for the first time in a Maserati model.
In terms of powertrain, this GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is presented just like the original version, equipped with three permanent magnet radial flux electric motors, one at the front and two at the rear, delivering a combined power of 829 hp and a maximum torque of 1350 Nm.
It is worth noting that this GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello was auctioned during the 2024 Arts for All Gala, one of the most important charity events dedicated to the arts and education in the U.S., held during the Napa Valley festival in California. Its appearance at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance served to showcase the artistry of the Trident brand to an audience of connoisseurs and enthusiasts who attended the event.
