Maserati has finally revealed the GranCabrio Folgore, the convertible version of the GranTurismo Folgore, 100% electric, with which it shares the mechanics as well as optimized aerodynamics.
Equipped with three electric motors, permanent magnet radial flow, one in the front and two in the rear, the GranCabrio Folgore delivers a combined power of 829 hp and 1350 Nm of maximum torque. Thanks to the impressive power, the GranCabrio can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
The electric motors are powered by a 92.5 kWh battery capacity, but only 83 kWh are used, which allows for a range of up to 450 km.
The GranCabrio Folgore battery accepts fast charging of 270 kW DC, which allows for recharging 100 km of range in just five minutes, and completing a recharge from 20 to 80% in just 18 minutes.
Esthetically, the GranCabrio is very similar to the GranTurismo, featuring an aerodynamically optimized design. Therefore, the new 100% electric convertible model from Maserati is equipped with a new front bumper and a revised grille.
The highlight is the electric retractable roof, which can be retracted in 14 seconds at a speed of up to 50 km/h, and is available in five colors – Nero, Blue Marine, Titan Grey, Greige, and Granata. As an option, there is also a wind deflector for those who enjoy driving with the wind in their hair.
The GranCabrio also features 20 or 21’’ wheels, which can be equipped with low rolling resistance tires.
Inside, highlights include the instrument panel with a 12.2’’ screen, along with an infotainment system with a 12.3’’ screen, and a screen for comfort functions, with 8.8’’. This is complemented by a heated flat-bottomed steering wheel with brushed aluminum paddle shifters to adjust the level of regeneration.
Furthermore, the GranCabrio Folgore comes equipped with a neck heating system as standard, along with a Sonus Faber audio system and a digital clock that offers three different skins, as well as an accelerator, compass, G-force meter, and stopwatch.
