Martin vai deixar a equipe da Ducati para a Aprilia em 2025.

Aprilia makes official announcement about the signing of Jorge Martin for the 2025 MotoGP season. This comes amid speculation that Marc Marquez may have secured the coveted position at the Ducati factory.

Martin expressed his desire to ride for an official team next season, and recent reports from Italy indicated that Ducati had chosen him to be Francesco Bagnaia’s partner. However, Marquez revealed at Mugello that Martin’s spot at the Pramac team was not an option for him, leading Ducati to apparently reverse its decision.

Marquez has performed exceptionally well since leaving Honda and joining Gresini Ducati on a year-old bike in 2024. Ducati is believed to have been reluctant to lose his valuable services. In response to Ducati’s withdrawal of the offer, Aprilia quickly began negotiations with Martin and managed to secure his signature on a contract.

Martin will take over from Pol Espargaro, who will retire from MotoGP at the end of the current season. Espargaro has been rumored to transition to a testing role with Honda starting in 2025. The Spaniard finished as runner-up behind Bagnaia in last season’s championship and currently leads the standings in 2024 with two wins and two Sprint race victories in the first six rounds.

By choosing to sign with Aprilia, Martin’s decision practically confirms that Marquez will soon be announced as a Ducati rider. This leaves Enea Bastianini needing to find a seat elsewhere.
