Red Bull Racing’s Marko Delivers Brutal Verdict on Tsunoda’s Debut Performance

In a shocking turn of events at the Japanese Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda stepped into the Red Bull Racing seat, replacing Liam Lawson. The question on everyone’s mind was whether Tsunoda could live up to expectations.

Helmut Marko, the seasoned senior advisor of the team, did not hold back in his assessment of Tsunoda’s performance. Despite starting 15th on the grid, Tsunoda managed to climb to a 12th place finish, albeit outside the points.

Marko highlighted the importance of qualifying, emphasizing that Tsunoda’s solid race was marred by a crucial mistake during Qualifying 2. He acknowledged the difficulty of overtaking at the Japanese Grand Prix but made it clear that such errors could not be overlooked.

Even though Tsunoda expressed mixed feelings about his performance, Marko’s praise was reserved for Max Verstappen, who clinched victory at the race. Marko commended Verstappen for his flawless drive, hinting at a potential World Championship title still within reach for Red Bull Racing.

Despite the disappointment of Tsunoda’s debut, Marko’s unwavering confidence in the team’s capabilities suggests that Red Bull Racing is not ready to throw in the towel just yet. The intense scrutiny on Tsunoda’s performance only amplifies the pressure on the young driver to prove his worth in the competitive world of Formula 1.
