Mario Andretti acusa dono da Liberty Media de usar todos os meios necessários para impedir entrada da Andretti-Cadillac na F1.

Andretti Cadillac remains determined to achieve its goals of joining the Formula 1 grid as the 11th team, despite facing repeated rejections. The fully American constructor had its attempt to enter the grid denied by Formula 1. Despite this setback, there was unwavering support from various people who opposed Formula 1’s decision. I recall the strong statements made by the owner of Liberty Media regarding the inclusion of Andretti Cadillac.

The owner of Liberty Media expressed his disapproval of Andretti’s approval. Andretti Cadillac stated that during the conversation, Maffei, the owner, assured that he would make every effort to prevent Michael Andretti’s entry into the pinnacle of motorsport. Consequently, the team currently faces diminished hopes of becoming the 11th team on the grid.

Even after Formula 1 rejected their attempt, Andretti Cadillac continued with their preparations to join the Formula 1 grid. The American constructor established its own facility in Silverstone, showcasing the team’s promising prospects for future participations. Additionally, Andretti Cadillac hired a similar number of personnel to the Haas F1 team, which currently competes on the grid. The team remains steadfast in their pursuit to join the grid one day.

Michael Andretti’s father was deeply saddened and surprised by Maffei’s firm response. Andretti has been persistently striving to persuade Formula 1 to allow the team’s entry. However, the sport has made its final decision and will not reconsider the offer, even with the planned regulatory changes for the 2026 season.

Mario Andretti reported the incident and expressed his dissatisfaction with Maffei’s words. The 84-year-old octogenarian stated that he could not understand the comments made by the owner of Liberty Media. Furthermore, Andretti emphasized that these words seemed like a direct blow to his heart, as he was unaware of the personal nature of the entire situation for Maffei.

However, despite facing continuous rejection, Andretti Cadillac did not waver in its determination. The American constructor showed great resolution in its pursuit to join the Formula 1 grid and will not give up easily. The team will persist in its battle with Formula 1 to secure a place on the grid as the 11th team.
