Margarida Corceiro has become one of the most recognizable — and most sought-after — faces in the Formula 1 paddock. Wherever there is a Grand Prix, the cameras inevitably find her. This past weekend in Abu Dhabi, that spotlight burned brighter than ever as the Portuguese actress stood at the center of attention during Lando Norris’s Formula 1 world championship celebration.
Now, Corceiro’s growing presence has crossed borders. The French edition of Gala magazine has dedicated a full article to her, boldly titled:
“Lando Norris, F1 World Champion: Who Is His Girlfriend, Magui Corceiro, Who Doesn’t Hold Her Tongue?”
According to the publication, while the relationship may have faced turbulence early on, “the couple now appears more in love than ever.”
A Presence That Divides the Paddock
But admiration is only part of the story.
Gala reveals that Corceiro has also sparked open irritation among other Formula 1 drivers, earning a reputation for being anything but silent. Citing information from The Sun, published on Sunday, December 7, the magazine claims the 23-year-old model has repeatedly ruffled feathers within the F1 world.
One incident stands out:
Corceiro reportedly took aim at Max Verstappen, the principal rival of her boyfriend, stating that he “only wins by luck.” A remark that, unsurprisingly, sent shockwaves through the paddock.
And the tension didn’t stop there.
Clash With Carlos Sainz and the Cameras Debate
According to the same reports, Corceiro also drew the ire of Carlos Sainz, who criticized what he described as a “disrespectful” obsession by broadcasters and camera operators with drivers’ girlfriends and wives — sometimes at the expense of the race itself.
Sainz openly questioned the focus on off-track personalities.
Corceiro, however, fired back bluntly, stating that she wasn’t to blame for appearing frequently on television screens.
No Fear, No Filters
Gala leaves little room for doubt about her character:
“Margarida Corceiro is clearly not the type to be intimidated and is not afraid to say what she thinks.”
Whether applauded or criticized, one thing is undeniable: Margarida Corceiro has become part of Formula 1’s modern narrative — not as a passive presence, but as a personality who speaks her mind, embraces the spotlight, and refuses to apologize for it.
In a sport where every word echoes and every camera angle is scrutinized, Corceiro has made it clear: she’s not just watching history — she’s part of the conversation.
