Dongfeng Motor, a Chinese brand that recently started being represented in Portugal and Spain by Salvador Caetano, has revealed the first images of the off-road M-Hunter, which will be presented next week at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The M-Hunter will be the second off-road vehicle from the Chinese brand, following the M-Hero 917, launched in 2023. The new off-road model features a carbon fiber hood, square wheel arches, LED technology headlights, a bumper with a steel protection bar, and two tow hooks to help in difficult situations.
To reduce weight and increase strength, the M-Hunter is equipped with a tubular structure, and instead of traditional doors, it only has a protective grille.
No interior exist two sports seats, and the space normally reserved for the rear seat is occupied by two all-terrain tires, to prevent any mishaps on off-road adventures.
Little is known about the engine of this M-Hunter; however, there is a possibility that Dongfeng may equip the new off-road vehicle with a 100% electric engine, or alternatively with hybrid technology, following the same strategy used in the M-Hero 917 launched in 2023, which offers both types of engines.
