Cadillac has finally revealed details about its new Lyriq-V, the brand’s first fully electric model in the V series, boasting 615 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm.
After presenting the Lyriq-V last October, the American brand announced that the new SUV, which will hit the market at the end of the year, is based on GM’s innovative Ultium platform, adapted for high-performance electric vehicles. It is equipped with two permanent magnet electric motors that provide all-wheel drive, powered by a 102 kWh battery that promises a range of up to 460 km.
Cadillac estimates that the new 100% electric model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds in Velocity Max driving mode.
The American brand has indicated that its engineers have ensured a perfect synergy between technology and performance, which includes adaptive chassis configurations and driving systems that drivers can tailor to their needs.
The design of the Lyriq-V reflects an advanced futuristic aesthetic with a sharp yet refined silhouette, featuring details such as the illuminated grille and aerodynamic lines designed to reduce drag and enhance aerodynamic efficiency. Exclusive to the Lyriq-V are the 22’’ wheels with a dark sporty finish and the Series V logo engraved.
The interior offers a unique combination of Cadillac comfort and technology, including a massive 33-inch diagonal LED screen, complemented by an augmented reality Head-Up Display and an advanced AKG sound system with 19 speakers that promises to deliver a premium audio experience.
Also noteworthy is the sporty steering wheel that features the Series V logo, along with a set of buttons highlighting the V-Mode, which takes performance customization even further, allowing drivers to save performance-focused settings, including Competitive Mode and a unique sound experience.
Cadillac also revealed that production of the new Lyriq-V will begin at the start of this year at the General Motors factory in Spring Hill Manufacturing, Tennessee, and that the 100% electric SUV will be available in the North American, European, and Australian markets, promising to breathe new life into the electric sports SUV segment.
