Bulgari (or Bvlgari) is one of the icons of Italian fashion, a brand recognized for the elegance of its jewelry and luxury accessories, and also for designing exclusive automobiles. The company, based in Rome, has developed another prototype for the Gran Turismo game, the Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, a spectacular “barchetta” with extremely fluid lines, inspired by the past, based on all the characteristic aesthetic elements of Bulgari, with retro-inspired elements from Italian cars of the 1970s, such as the Lancia Stratos Zero or Alfa Romeo Carabo.
In addition to its digital presence in the Gran Turismo game, an exclusive for the Playstation console, the Bulgari Aluminium GT also has a real-scale counterpart. The vehicle was designed by Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, who came from the FIAT Stile Center to take on new projects at Bulgari, in partnership with Fabio Filippini, former design director at Pininfarina. It combines brushed aluminum and carbon fiber in the design of the stylized bodywork, as well as titanium and other innovative materials.
The instrument panel is reminiscent of the wristwatch that Bulgari also created specifically for the 10th anniversary of the console game, a reissue of the iconic aluminum model launched by the luxury brand in 1998. The anniversary watch is available with a yellow dial and black markers, in a limited edition of 500 units, or with a black dial, for a total of 1200 pieces.
