Louis Deletraz Dominates LMP2 Qualifying Session with Blazing Speed
In a heart-pounding qualifying session, Louis Deletraz asserted his dominance by claiming the top spot in the LMP2 category, setting the track on fire with his exceptional performance in ‘Spike the Dragon.’
Deletraz, representing AO by TF with the #199 Oreca 07 LMP2, showcased his prowess behind the wheel by securing the fastest lap time of 3:35.472. With razor-sharp precision, he outshone his competitors, including Ben Hanley from United Autosports, who trailed by a mere 0.185 seconds.
The intensity on the track was palpable as the session was marked by two red flags, disrupting the flow of the qualifying battle. The first red flag was triggered by Andrew Gilbert in his #60 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG LMGT3, while the second was caused by Custodio Toledo from #150 AF Corse.
Drivers pushed themselves to the limit to secure a spot in the top 12, earning a coveted place in tomorrow’s Hyperpole session and a shot at pole position. Among the top qualifiers were Alex Quinn from Algarve Pro Racing, Mathias Beche from TDS Racing, and Pietro Fittipaldi from United Autosports.
