Lotus Evija X é o terceiro veículo mais rápido a percorrer a pista de Nürburgring

Lotus decided to show images of the attempt made at the end of 2023, to achieve the fastest lap at the German Nürburgring circuit, with the electric supercar Evija X.

The unique model from the British brand ended up completing a lap of the iconic German circuit in 6m 24.047 seconds, making this prototype the third fastest vehicle to navigate the well-known “Green Hell”.

Lotus did not reveal technical details of this Evija X, only mentioning that it shares the powertrain with the road model, meaning it delivers a power of 2039 hp and a maximum torque of 1704 Nm. However, the publication “Piston Heads” reports that the Canadians from Multimatic, the company that created the Ford GT Mk IV, collaborated with Lotus in the development of the electric supercar Evija X.

The British brand acknowledges that the Evija X can improve the achieved time, but has not made it clear whether it will attempt to break the record for the fastest lap at Nürburgring again.

For now, the Lotus Evija X holds the third best time at the German circuit, behind two models designed for competition, with the VW ID.R holding the second best time with 6m05.336 seconds, while the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo is faster with 5m19.546 seconds.
