After setting one of the best times on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany, the Lotus Evija X arrived at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK as one of the main highlights of the event.
However, not everything went smoothly last weekend for the electric supercar that shares its powertrain with the road model, meaning it delivers a power output of 2039 hp and a maximum torque of 1704 Nm.
In the famous Goodwood hill climb race, the Evija X failed to complete the first 100 meters as immediately after the start, the sports car veered to the right and collided violently with the bales of straw. Despite the accident occurring at a relatively low speed, the front of the Lotus electric supercar was severely damaged.
