Lotus Emeya é o recordista de carregamento rápido

The Emeya is the 100% electric model from Lotus, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds. However, the model from Hethel, UK, is not only fast in acceleration, but also in its ability to charge its batteries.

Lotus has announced that its first electric hyper-GT achieved a record charging time using the public charging network, managing to charge from 10 to 80% of the battery in 14 minutes, a new record value validated by an independent entity, the P3 Group.

The 102 kWh battery charging of the Emeya was carried out at a fast charging station of 400 kW that even allowed a maximum peak of 402 kW, and an average charging speed of 331 kW.

The British brand took the opportunity to showcase its superiority compared to the competition, as the charging results were achieved in a test that included other electric models such as the Mercedes EQS, BMW i7, Tesla Model Y, Genesis G80, Xpeng G9, Kia EVP, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Nio ET5, and BYD Atto 3.

The impressive charging capabilities of the Emeya are achieved through advanced battery technology, which includes a cell-to-back structure that allows for 20% more cells in the same space compared to traditional electric vehicle batteries. This solution is complemented by a new cooling system that optimizes the thermal performance of the battery.

emphasized Qingfeng Feng, CEO of the Lotus Group.
