Logan Sargeant Shocks Motorsports World with Surprise Entry in Bahrain WEC Rookie Test!

Logan Sargeant, the former Williams Formula 1 star, is set to make waves once again as he joins the World Endurance Championship (WEC) rookie test in Bahrain this Sunday! In a thrilling twist, Sargeant will take the wheel of the Proton Competition Ford Mustang GT3 at the Bahrain International Circuit on November 9. This exciting announcement comes straight from the latest entry list, igniting buzz among motorsport fans everywhere!

Sargeant, who is no stranger to the fast lane, won’t be alone in the #77 Mustang. He will share driving responsibilities with the seasoned Proton racer Giorgio Roda, while the team’s regular WEC and factory Ford driver Dennis Olsen will also be on track, ramping up the competitive atmosphere of the event. This rookie test is not just another day at the races; it’s a critical opportunity for Sargeant to showcase his skills and potentially set the stage for future endeavors in the sport.

After a brief hiatus from racing, Sargeant made his comeback in September with PR1 Mathiasen, competing in the final two rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. His return has been nothing short of remarkable, culminating in a solid fifth-place finish in class at the prestigious Petit Le Mans, where he shared the Oreca 07 with teammates Naveen Rao and Benjamin Pedersen.

At just 24 years old, Sargeant’s journey in motorsport has already been a rollercoaster. He scored a single point during his stint in F1, and while he initially aimed to tackle the full 2025 European Le Mans Series with IDEC Sport—backed by Genesis—plans shifted when he opted to step down from the LMP2 seat. This decision allowed him to pivot towards other racing opportunities, leading to his exciting return earlier this fall.

The Bahrain rookie test promises five hours of exhilarating on-track action, divided into two sessions of two and three hours, providing ample time for Sargeant and his fellow competitors to impress. With the motorsport world watching closely, all eyes will be on Sargeant as he aims to carve out his path in endurance racing.

As the anticipation builds for this pivotal test, fans and industry insiders alike are eager to see what the future holds for Sargeant. Will he continue to rise through the ranks and secure a prominent position in the racing world? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Logan Sargeant is back, and he’s ready to reclaim his spot in the spotlight!
