23XI Racing is on the brink of NASCAR glory, and team owner Michael Jordan couldn’t be prouder of Tyler Reddick, who clinched a spot in the Championship-4 with a thrilling last-corner victory at Homestead Miami. Reddick’s bold move past defending champion secured the win and sealed a championship berth for the No. 45 Toyota Camry, propelling 23XI Racing to their best season yet.
Jordan, present at Homestead, admitted he was on edge as Reddick fought to the finish, worried the team might run out of gas. But the basketball legend beamed with pride as Reddick, who he affectionately calls “lil kid,” went all out for the victory. “Almost thought we were gonna run out of gas,” Jordan shared post-race, “but we knew we needed a caution at the end, and anything can happen after that. Denny was up there and lil kid drove his ass off. I’m proud of him. He just went for it, and we needed it.”
Reddick, who has also brought 23XI their first regular-season championship, was ecstatic to see his boss celebrating in the pit, knowing he’d delivered on Jordan’s trust. “To be able to reward him with days like we had today, it’s a true honor,” Reddick said. “He believed in me. He believes in this team. It’s really cool in these critical moments to be able to deliver for him and for everybody else that’s a part of the team.”
Jordan’s energy and faith in his team have injected new motivation into 23XI Racing as they prepare for the season’s final race in Phoenix. With Jordan’s legendary drive behind him, Reddick has a real shot at delivering a NASCAR championship for the NBA’s GOAT and cementing 23XI Racing’s place in NASCAR history.
