The goal of the acquisition is to expand the sport’s audience and attract a wider variety of commercial partners. Despite initial fears among fans that the acquisition would lead to significant changes, Dorna CEO Carlos Ezpeleta reassured them that MotoGP does not have the infrastructure to accommodate street circuits like Formula 1.
