Liam Lawson’s Fiery Challenge: Just Shy of Overtaking Lewis Hamilton in F1 Rankings!

In the thrilling world of Formula 1, the battle for supremacy is as fierce as ever, and the latest driver ratings reveal a nail-biting showdown between rising star Liam Lawson and the legendary Lewis Hamilton. In a season that’s captivated fans, Lawson has pushed his limits but narrowly missed out on eclipsing Hamilton in the latest rankings, proving that the future of racing is indeed bright!

As we delve into the 2025 F1 driver ratings, it’s Lawson who has captured our attention, boasting an impressive average score of 6.0 after the first 14 races. This places the New Zealand sensation in 12th position, just a hair’s breadth behind Hamilton, who is grappling with a tumultuous debut season at Ferrari. The margin? A mere 0.1 points!

What’s driving this fierce competition? Since a pivotal suspension change during the Austrian Grand Prix, Lawson has emerged as one of the most formidable competitors on the track. His stellar performances have not gone unnoticed, particularly a jaw-dropping score of 9.5 at Austria, coupled with commendable scores of 8.0 in both Belgium and Hungary. These achievements have propelled him ahead of fellow competitors like Carlos Sainz, Esteban Ocon, and Oliver Bearman, all of whom share an average of 6.0 but lack Lawson’s standout performance.

But the drama doesn’t stop there! The rankings, which highlight the drivers from 21st to 11th, showcase the fierce competition among the grid’s talent. Jack Doohan is also in the mix, but the spotlight remains firmly on Lawson and Hamilton. Ocon’s position is bolstered by his two impressive 8.5 scores, allowing him to edge past Bearman, who has one such score to his name.

With the F1 season reaching its climax, all eyes are on the upcoming rankings. Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 17th, when the top 10 driver ratings will be unveiled, promising even more surprises and drama. Will Lawson finally leapfrog Hamilton? The tension is palpable!

In this high-octane season, one thing is clear: the future of F1 is in capable hands, and Liam Lawson is proving he’s a force to be reckoned with. Stay tuned as this incredible saga unfolds on the racetrack!
