Struggling Liam Lawson Admits to F1 Form Woes After Red Bull Demotion

Liam Lawson, the young Formula 1 driver, finds himself in a turbulent period following his demotion from Red Bull, with a disappointing performance in the 2025 season, remaining without a single point after a challenging weekend in Miami.

Since losing his seat at Red Bull early in the season, Lawson has faced a series of setbacks, culminating in a collision with Jack Doohan in Miami, leading to premature retirements for both drivers. Despite high expectations at the beginning of the season when he was promoted to be Max Verstappen’s teammate, Lawson’s struggles have persisted, prompting a candid assessment from the New Zealander.

In a blunt admission after the Miami Grand Prix, Lawson described his performance as “pretty shocking,” acknowledging the lack of points attributed to his name. Despite recognizing that the speed has been present in most races, the results have failed to materialize, leaving Lawson without the achievements he believes he is capable of.

Reflecting on his challenges, Lawson emphasized the importance of perseverance and continuous improvement to rediscover his form in Formula 1. Despite being outperformed by his rookie teammate Isack Hadjar in qualifying and races, Lawson remains determined to reset and push forward to achieve the results he knows he can deliver.

As he navigates the hurdles in his F1 journey, Lawson remains resolute in his commitment to refining his approach and finding the breakthrough needed to reignite his competitive spirit on the track.

The road ahead for Lawson may be tough, but with unwavering determination and a steadfast focus on improvement, the young driver is poised to overcome his obstacles and carve out a path to success in the highly competitive world of Formula 1.
