Liam Lawson urged to unleash potential as Racing Bulls gear up for F1 championship showdown

Racing Bulls Demand Consistency from Liam Lawson Ahead of Thrilling 2026 F1 Season!

As the countdown begins to the highly anticipated 2026 Formula 1 World Championship, the pressure mounts on Racing Bulls' rising star, Liam Lawson. Team Principal Alan Permane is making it crystal clear: consistent performance is non-negotiable! With the first round of testing set to take place in Sakhir this February, the stakes have never been higher for the talented New Zealander.

Mark your calendars—the season kicks off from March 6 to 8 in Australia, heralding a new era in F1 racing. This is not just another race; it’s a pivotal moment filled with soaring expectations and fierce competition. Permane, who is keenly aware of the unique challenges ahead, is urging Lawson to step up his game. “What I want from him is to reach a level where we can confidently keep him here,” Permane stated emphatically. “He’s truly talented. There are flashes of brilliance in his driving that we need to harness.”

Last year, Lawson was catapulted into the Red Bull team alongside the formidable Max Verstappen, but after some disappointing performances, he found himself back with the Milton Keynes satellite team. It's time for Lawson to convert potential into performance! Permane highlighted some of Lawson's stunning moments, such as his stunning third-place qualification in Baku under tough conditions and an impressive sixth in Las Vegas. However, these highs were often overshadowed by unexpected lows, which have left fans and team officials alike questioning his consistency.

Permane’s frustration is palpable as he points out, “Sometimes, inexplicably, he finds himself out in Q1 and just doesn’t grasp it. The good performances are there, but we need to eliminate those inexplicable poor results. Once we achieve that, I believe the rest will skyrocket and improve dramatically.”

The message is clear: for Lawson to secure his place in the fast-paced world of F1, he must transform his sporadic brilliance into a steady stream of high-caliber performances. With the world watching and a new season on the horizon, the pressure is on for Lawson to deliver. Will he rise to the occasion, or will inconsistency continue to haunt his promising career? One thing is certain: the journey to the top starts now, and the Racing Bulls expect nothing less than excellence!
