Lexus takes advantage of its presence at Milan Design Week, which runs until the 21st, to showcase the new exhibition, Time, which captures the Japanese brand’s vision of how software application and energy innovations will contribute to future cars providing both new possibilities and coexisting with carbon neutrality.
The exhibition features works from two designers inspired by the Lexus LF-ZC, a conceptual model that explores the potential of a next-generation battery electric vehicle (BEV). ‘Beyond the Horizon’ by Hideki Yoshimoto and his Tangent studio showcases a future mobility world evolving through software innovation.
Produced in collaboration with musician and composer Keiichiro Shibuya, the piece immerses the visitor in light and sound. ‘8 Minutes and 20 Seconds’ is the new work by Marjan van Aubel – incorporating solar design and technology in the pursuit of a carbon-neutral future.
“Lexus has always challenged the conventions of automotive luxury, working to expand the horizons of its products and services to create experiences that exceed its customers’ expectations. ‘Time/Tempo’ comes from our belief that experience and time are inseparable concepts”, stated Simon Humphries, Chief Branding Officer of Lexus.
It is worth remembering that the Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst – the full name of this LF-ZC concept, which was presented at the end of last year, is a 100% electric sedan that features elegant proportions, a low center of gravity, a spacious interior, and a design that combines functionality and aesthetics. With this, the Japanese brand aims to promote a stimulating driving experience, promising a range of 1000 km.
