Lewis Hamilton’s Performance Woes Revealed by Ferrari Boss

Ferrari’s team principal, Fred Vasseur, has shed light on the rollercoaster ride experienced by Lewis Hamilton in the 2025 Formula 1 season. Vasseur attributes Hamilton’s inconsistent results to the challenging nature of the narrow operating window of the tires this year.

Despite clinching two third places in Sprint races, Hamilton’s performances have been far from stable in his six Grand Prix outings with Ferrari. A significant setback was witnessed in Saudi Arabia, where Hamilton trailed a staggering 30 seconds behind his teammate, Charles Leclerc.

In the midst of doubts surrounding Hamilton’s adaptation to his new team, a glimmer of hope emerged in Miami. A strategic move amidst unpredictable weather conditions propelled Hamilton to a commendable third place in the Sprint race, showcasing his resilience and racecraft.

Vasseur, however, downplayed any significant improvement in Hamilton’s performance, attributing his previous struggles to external factors rather than a lack of speed. The team principal emphasized the fine margins in Formula 1, highlighting how minor errors, such as exceeding track limits or making mistakes in specific sectors, can have a substantial impact on race outcomes.

Although Hamilton remained optimistic about his progress with Ferrari, acknowledging the challenges of overtaking in a closely contested field, he expressed confidence in his ability to unlock the full potential of the SF-25 car.

As Hamilton continues to navigate the complexities of the 2025 season, his partnership with Ferrari promises both trials and triumphs on the race track. With insights from Vasseur providing a glimpse into the intricacies of Hamilton’s performance struggles, the Formula 1 world eagerly anticipates the seven-time champion’s quest for redemption in the upcoming races.
