Lewis Hamilton’s shocking fall in F1 rankings: what went wrong for the champion?

Lewis Hamilton’s Disastrous Season: The Shocking Final Rankings Exposed!

The F1 world is buzzing after the release of the final driver rankings for the tumultuous 2025 season! As the dust settles, fans are left in disbelief at the performance of their beloved drivers, particularly Lewis Hamilton, who has found himself in a precarious position in the standings. After a series of dramatic races, RacingNews365 has unveiled the much-anticipated scores, revealing the highs and lows of the season and the ultimate fate of Hamilton amidst a sea of fierce competitors.

With the rankings divided into two parts, today’s focus shines on the drivers ranked from P11 to P20, and it’s a lineup that includes two reigning world champions, one of whom described his campaign as a “nightmare.” This is not just another season conclusion; it’s a revelation of the struggles and triumphs that defined the year!

Starting with Fernando Alonso, who narrowly missed the top ten with a score of 6.5, the veteran racer showcased moments of brilliance, securing his highest ratings with a remarkable performance in Hungary and Singapore. However, unfortunate retirements in Monaco and Italy marred his season. Yet, Alonso’s sixth-place finish in Abu Dhabi allowed him to salvage pride, demonstrating that even in chaos, he remains a formidable force.

Next up, Nico Hulkenberg claimed 12th place with a rating of 6.1. This season was monumental for him, as he finally clinched that elusive podium at Silverstone, marking a significant milestone in his career. However, inconsistent performances left fans scratching their heads, raising questions about his future with Audi racing.

But the spotlight shines brightest on Lewis Hamilton, who has been thrust into the limelight for all the wrong reasons. With a dismal score of 6.0, Hamilton’s season has been nothing short of catastrophic. Once the golden boy of F1, he kicked off the year with a dazzling pole position and a victory in China, only to spiral into despair. “I felt useless,” he lamented after a disastrous weekend in Hungary, where his raw talent seemed overshadowed by a series of botched performances and three consecutive Q1 exits. The question looms: Can Hamilton rebound in 2026, or is this the beginning of the end?

Esteban Ocon, ranked 14th with a score of 5.8, faced his own challenges. After a promising start, a mysterious brake issue during the Italian GP derailed his momentum. Despite finishing strong with points in three of the last five races, his season was marked by inconsistency.

Liam Lawson managed to tie with Ocon in the rankings, also scoring 5.8. The young driver showcased flashes of brilliance, particularly in Austria, but his performance was marred by disastrous outings in China and Australia, dragging down his overall score.

Then we have Pierre Gasly, who despite finishing 16th with a score of 5.7, emerged as a lone bright spot for Alpine. His exceptional drives, particularly in Bahrain, were overshadowed by the team’s struggles, leaving Gasly to ponder what could have been.

Rookie sensation Gabriel Bortoleto made waves with his performance, finishing 17th at 5.2, despite a rocky start. His potential was undeniable, but a catastrophic crash in Sao Paulo raised concerns about his consistency.

Not far behind, Lance Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda, both scored 5.2, with Stroll’s flashes of brilliance often overshadowed by forgettable performances. Meanwhile, Tsunoda faced his own demons, stifled by the pressure of competing in the second Red Bull seat.

Rounding out the rankings, Franco Colapinto found himself at the bottom with a score of 4.3, failing to make a significant impact in a car that Gasly managed to drag into the points repeatedly.

As the dust settles on this chaotic season, fans are left wondering about the future of these drivers. Will Hamilton reclaim his throne, or has the F1 world witnessed the decline of a legend? The 2026 season holds the promise of redemption, but the stakes have never been higher. Buckle up, because this rollercoaster ride is far from over!
